Where do you run to when the doors close off?

And who do you call on when it all goes wrong?

The devil is telling me to feed my fears.

“Why don’t you pack your bags and disappear?”

I’d rather give it to God.

That verse from the Holy Book says; “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22)

In his Bible Commentary, Calvin ponders, writing; “We no doubt all agree in admitting that the world is governed by the hand of God; but were this truth deeply rooted in our hearts, our faith would be distinguished by far greater steadiness and perseverance in surmounting temptations with which we are assailed in adversity.”

Let us seek to convince ourselves and believe this simple truth deeply; God is sovereign over everything.

This verse from the Holy Book adds; And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? (Matt 6:27 ESV)

This quote by C.H. Spurgeon reminds me of that;

“When you go through a trial, the sovereignty of God is the pillow on which you lay your head.”

Doth anxiety profit any man anything? No. This song from one of my favourite albums of 2015 reminds you and I to give it to Him. Our worries, burdens, and whatever else that troubles our heart.
