The One Who Cannot Sly – My Personal First Aid Kit 3

Old man looking siting in the streets of the medina of ChefchaouenHow do you deal with life’s issues, the ups and downs, the unpleasant surprises? What is God’s disposition to our everyday life’s experiences? You probably think there is little or nothing He can do about it. We have the tendency of measuring God with our personal experiences and from our relationships, but that won’t work. God is not human, God is God and God is Good, these two truths I shared in the two previous articles of this series.

In this article, I’ll let the scriptures defend themselves.

Titus 1:2 (NKJV) in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

2 Timothy 2:13 (TLB) Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, he remains faithful to us and will help us, for he cannot disown us who are part of himself, and he will always carry out his promises to us.

Hebrews 6:18 (ESV) so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.135044243796s

It is utterly impossible for God to lie. Let me ask you this sincere question and I need your honest answer; can you lay an egg just like fowls do? I can imagine the look of disgust on your face because of the insanity of the question. You cannot and will never lay eggs in a million years, why? It’s not in your makeup, you are human not a bird. The very same goes for God; He cannot lie. Asking if God can lie is like asking if a man can carry a baby for nine months all to delivery, it is out rightly impossible for God to lie.
I previously wrote that God is God, not as we think of Him, He is not limited by anything, that is the reason the world defines Him as “the supreme being” even as shallow as that is. There is nothing above “the supreme”.
It is not in God’s nature to lie and for this singular reason you can bet your life, career, academics, marriage, future… on His word. He doesn’t talk just because He feels like talking or because He wants to impress you or brag, NO, He talks because He is wholesomely able to do whatever He says.
What exactly are your circumstances? How bad have they gotten? It is never over or hopeless with God. All you need to do is;

  • Search God’s word for what He has said concerning you or your situation.
  • Accept it as the truth: make it your belief! “let God be true but every man a liar Rom 3:4.”
  • Hold on to it, and make it your profession. “ Let us hold fast the confession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Heb 10:23″

For instance, you are reading this article on the sick bed, you are not meant to be there. The One that cannot lie said “Isaiah 53:4 Surely He took your infirmities and carried your sickness (and crucified it on the cross)” 1 Peter 2:24 …by his wounds you have been healed.” If He took it away, what then is it still doing on you? That sickness is violating its restraining (occupancy) order, so as the caretaker of your body tell it to vacate. The same goes for all aspects of life; your business, marriage, career and so on.

Take time to seek what God has said concerning your situation, believe it and enforce it. And just like dreaming, you will see the situation change.
This is the end of the series “MY PERSONAL FIRST AID KIT”, I’ll be excited to know how it has been of help to you, leave a comment and share this article’s link for others to benefit from it like you. God bless you.

Here are the links to the first two parts of this series: God is God and God is good.
