HAPPY 2014 NEW YEAR FROM LIFEGIVA

The 31st of December came among other things, a concern for all that awaits me in the upcoming year i.e. 2014, it will be my first year of being fully independent, major decisions pertaining to my destiny will be taken in that year, I will be out of my parents reach most of it, I have a lot of involvement which must prosper and on and on, with them came a bit of anxiety and “fear of the unknown”. But in the midst of it, a song came up, and that answered all my questions and settled all my worries. 2014 for you might be one with such great demands and very high hopes and expectations for you like me.

YABO by SOLOMON LANGE

Yabo by Solomon Lange is my song for 2014.

Some in chariot, some trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord,

Some trust in their skills others trust in their schemes,

but we trust in the name of the Lord,

When the arms of the flesh will fail them, we’ll still be standing tall,

cos we trust in the name of the Lord.

When they say there is a casting down, we will say there is a lifting up,

cos we trust in the name of the Lord

God is saying that He is enough for you for 2014, if you can trust him. And God can be trusted because it is impossible for Him to fail, the arms of flesh will fail. So set your mind focused on God.

If the lord doesn’t watch a house, then we labour in vain. But we trust in the name of the Lord

If the Lord doesn’t watch the city, then we stay awake in vain, but we trust in the name of the Lord

Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world, I triumph in the name of the Lord

I triumph in the name of the Lord, not in my resources or expertise, not in the opportunity at my disposal or the calibre of people I know, but in the name of the Lord; Jesus Christ.

that raised Christ … and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven, far, far above any other king or ruler or dictator or leader. Yes, his honor is far more glorious than that of anyone else either in this world or in the world to come. (He is in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. (MSG) Ephesians 1:20-21 (TLB)

If that is not enough to make you go to bed smiling, then I don’t know what else will. I see you smiling through 2014, not that there won’t be trying situations, but you won’t have to face it alone, but like David against Goliath; “you will go in the name of the Lord”
