QUEST FOR A BETTER LIFE – IGNITE WITH SUCCESSBAYO #25

Walking into Amsterdam by Stanley Chen Xi

“Your life does not get better by chance. It gets better by change”  – Jim Rohn

Hello friends, I welcome you to another session of IGNITE SERIES. Everyone wants to live a better life daily, but a better life comes with the ability to know and do certain things. John F. Kennedy once said Pray not easy lives, pray to be stronger men. I would be sharing with you somethings I have discovered for living a life.

Let’s go on a journey;

  1. Accept yourself

This is the first and most crucial step towards living a better life. We are all humans and we have our limits. We all make mistakes, encounter new problems and challenges. It is not the challenges that define us but what we make out these challenges. Many people are mostly concerned about the opinions of others- friends and family. You need to accept yourself, and understand that your differences is peculiar to you and that’s what makes you unique. Accept yourself the way you are and stop comparing yourself to others. Your uniqueness is peculiar to you and that is what makes you ‘You’.

I would like to remind you that God accepts each of us as people of value and worth, simply because He loves us. This is the kind of love we should craved for throughout our lives. It is the kind of love that does not stop when we do something wrong, or die because we made a mistake. If God accepts us for who we are rather than because of our actions, good looks, or special skills, then we should be able to accept ourselves.

  1. Dealing with setbacks

A great man once told me that challenges are the cereals of champions. Setbacks and tragedies are inevitable in the journey of life. Everyone has been disappointed before, everyone has failed, everyone has experienced one form of delay or the other. Learn to treat challenges as hurdles and not hindrances.

There have been a lot of times I have been setback, disappointed and even experienced delay. In the quest of living a better life, always learn the lessons from each circumstance of life so as not to experience repetitive failure. Be comfortable. There are two types of people in life, those who are destroyed by life challenges, and those who are ennobled by it.

  1. Seek Help

Seeking help doesn’t mean you are weak but that you are wise. No matter what the problem is, take time to discuss it with a trusted friend, family member, counselor or confidant. Seeking help is a sign of strength, a lot of people are suffering in silence and they are in quiet desperation state.

Sometimes getting to the next level in life, takes more resources than you possess. So my dear, why not seek help? Those who seek for help have solved their problems half way.

  1. Help others

Accepting self means we not only achieve our dreams, but also help others achieve theirs. A great man once said ‘we inspire others to greatness simply by seeing them as people of worth and value’. Life runs at its best when people treat each other with honor and respect. I derive so much joy in helping other people excel and succeed. In your quest for living a better life, help people!!!!!!!!! As much as you can. Poor relationships will also affect you because anyone who treats people poorly suffers in other ways.

Keep Soaring I see you getting better. To be continued next week
