The power of your choice

In this post on the journey to significance, I’m going to be talking about the power of your choice. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying which says “life is a choice.” And it’s good to know that we are responsible for every decision we make in this journey.

Do you want to live a significant life?
It’s all in your choice!

As we go on this journey towards achieving significance, there’s a gift that God has put in every one of us. This is not a gift just found in great men or women, pastors or clerics, it is found in everyone. And I call it the best gift God has put inside of us. And this is the power of choice.

You don’t want to get to the end of life only to look back and realize that it was wasted pursuing success in areas that don’t matter. What really matters now is to make choices that will help you live a life of significance.

At the end of the day, your life is a result of your choices and decisions.

The reason why you are on this blog today is because you decided to check it out. No matter how many blogs, online stores, games, and your social media sites. The current reality is that you are on Livegiva2’s blog now and you are reading this article. You made that choice.

The truth is, we are where we are today because of the choices and decision we have made.

There are times we make the wrong decision, we take wrong steps and we feel the whole world has crumbled on us. We must understand that in achieving success, mistakes are allowed. Success is the result of wisdom and good judgment. Yet wisdom and good judgment come from experience, and experiences are made up of mistakes we have made in the past because of the poor judgment. As will Rogers said “Good judgment comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgment”

The bad judgment we’ve also made are also part of the decisions we have made to bring us where we are. And this is why the best teacher we can have is failure. Failure is not a threat, it all depend on how we respond to it.

The primary reason for failure is that people do not develop new plans to replace those plans that didn’t work” Napoleon Hill

As we go through the journey of life, you may not always be able to control what happens to you but you can decide how you respond to it. One truth about life is that you will always have the choice as to what something means to you personally and how you want to respond in accordance.

Times will come when we make a wrong decision and feel we are on a very wrong track, it’s usually good to use the power of choice to critically ask questions that will make us realize what we did wrong, what we could have done differently and what to do if such situation come up again.

As a matter of fact nothing happens by chance, you choose things to happen based on what you want to experience.
You hold the power to decide how you want your life to be.

A friend of mine once said that “No matter how many people help you in life, you have to cross the finish line all by yourself

Always remember that what you create in your life is a result of your choice and decisions. The good thing is you have the power, choose today to experience that which your heart desires.

Don’t go for silver when you can get gold. Go for the best because you deserve the best.

You have the power, Use it!

Your life begins to become significant, when you clearly identify what it is that you want. Do Something! Make a plan and work on it every day.

If you haven’t written the list of ten things you want to achieve this year. Please, refer to the previous post HERE and follow the exercise.

Have a great day!
