Sincerely speaking; I love deep articles. But I decided to be blunt and plain about this because as much as I am addressing you, I am talking to myself.
When exactly are we going to stop looking like Christians and start being Christians? From the most minute thing of speaking positive about situations to paying a particular amount of money to a lecturer? Because it is corporate doesn’t make it right in anyway, but we are too scared to stand out and be like the three awesome guys that found themselves in a fry pan.
We are very eager to stand out in every mundane thing that we do. Have we reasoned to the extent that doing the right thing according to the word these days is already a good platform for us to stand out? We seem to have less people doing the right things these days. For you to do the right things these days, you must in a way have some sort of craziness that you are not scared of showing to the world. Do I really think Christianity is wearing my best clothes and walking on heels that really hurt my feet after two hours and blending into everything this world throws at me? If I think wearing heels is what makes Christianity, then I should be ready to wear those heels in my subconscious mind to stand above all the world is throwing that have nothing to do with upgrading my faith.
Why should I preach to someone who doesn’t seem to find any reason to join me in my faith walk- even by looking at me? He doesn’t even wait to hear the good news, he feels he has heard about it already, or he reminds me that he has Christian friends that do almost what he does with the difference being that they only act clean and pure on Sundays. Christianity is good news. Good news is good news.
Christianity is contagious, whatever is contagious is contagious. Jesus didn’t live for only the Sundays; he lived a full life of influence. He lived everyday knowing he was different. He lived every day knowing he had something the world wanted badly, and he wanted to give them badly. He lived knowing he had a Father in heaven that could supply his needs, at least now we even have the Holy Spirit.
Jesus pulled crowds, Jesus could relate with everyone. The Jews, Gentiles, fishers, farmers, beggars, rich men, what excuse do I have? He lives in me. What excuse do I really have? He was soul driven, am I soul driven? Do I feel sad about that fresh babe in my class that has all the material things a girl could ever need and always looks good but doesn’t have Jesus? Or I am even jealous of what she has…the mundane things that she has.. Can we stick with the old reality we know, she’s going to spend eternity without life if she dies- or in simpler terms, she will burn in hell.
You have one priority as a Christian- to go and win souls for the kingdom. That was the last thing Jesus said. Can we get into that already, can we put on our overalls? There’s dirty work to be done! But the good thing about this work is that you can do it from any point. From your office, your school, your place of passion and work basically. It has nothing to do with the pulpit in church. Your office table is a pulpit, stay there and pull people out of the pit.
ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN? Or are you just looking like a Christian?
Christianity is not a club. It is a harvest ground.

I love the end:”ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN? Or are you just looking like a Christian?
Christianity is not a club. It is a harvest ground.”
