She Gives Her Husband Condom to Travel With – Trust Or Playing Safe?

My people, my People. What a strange world we live in, at least from my viewpoint.

So I just heard of a young couple, in love and all. Whenever the man is traveling, the wife gives him some condoms to travel with. When I heard this, I could not close my mouth for almost two minutes.

Now let’s examine this.

Does this mean the wife is indirectly giving her husband “permission” to have an extramarital affair? Could it be that she has the “all men cheat” mentality? Is she trying to be cautious and guard against an unwanted pregnancy from a random girl? Is she using that to test her husband? Does this mean she does not trust her husband to stay faithful to her?

The questions can go on and on. I just simply cannot understand the logic behind this reasoning. Probably because I am not married. But we hear stories of men having extramarital affairs and extramarital children (if there’s anything like that). She’s probably just trying to guard her heart.

Which brings me to another issue. Can you get married to someone you do not trust? I agree we are humans and may sometimes fall off the wagon but as Christians, we take refuge in the fact that the Grace of God will abound for us when we are tempted. The Bible says God will not allow us to be tempted more than what we can bear. (1 Corinthians 10:13). If the lady in question is not a believer in God and the Bible, she should at least believe that she is enough for the man she married- enough for him to love her and stay faithful to her.

Again, I cannot fully conclude on the situation because I am not married. But if peradventure you are a man who has experienced this, do you collect the condom? If you do, why? If you don’t, have you ever sat down with your wife to ask her why she gives you the condom?

It’s sad that any man who expects his wife to trust him goes through this. It is also sad that society (and some unfaithful men) has made women believe that it is in a man’s nature to cheat.

Few thoughts;

Mrs Ijeoma Ajibola: She is permitting him to be unfaithful but “safe”.

Mrs Yemi: It’s just unfortunate that in this day and age we are in an era of compromise. Everything looks better on the outside than the inside. Some have a better life on the outside but in the inside, they suffer from depression and the lot. U don’t know who to really trust these days. People cannot be real and tell it as it is they’d rather pretend just to keep up appearance. Think about it, if everyone around u has a particular life, they are your major form of influence and so those things unbeknownst to you would rub off on you. I had a job as a sales consultant ones and I was transferred to a real side of London. South London. And in that side, a majority of the guys have baby mamas and the ladies can’t help it but believe that they can only date or marry men with baby mamas. I was talking to one of the girls who was struggling in her relationship. She had issues with the baby mama and I was like why are u even in that mess. She looked me like do you think I can ever find someone better. I was stunned. See that culture became a reality. They had no one to tell differently.

My point is this lady has accepted this as her reality and is only working with it. She, unfortunately, doesn’t know better but this inevitably shows us the power of influence albeit subconsciously

Let me hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
